Tenant Participation

We are very proud of our track record of involving tenants in the running of the Association. We currently have in place a comprehensive Tenant Participation Strategy. This Strategy was put together in full consultation with our tenants and details what we have achieved to date and exactly how we plan to continue involving tenants in every aspect of our business.

Your Right to Information and Consultation

Information

When signing the Scottish Secure Tenancy agreement, all tenants receive a copy of the agreement and information on the complaints procedure (this can also be accessed under the downloads section of the web site).

We are also obliged upon request to provide tenants with other information, on issues such as rent setting, applying for a house, exchanging homes, internal transfer, repairs and maintenance and tenant participation etc. This web site should provide access to most information tenants may find of interest; however, if you’re unable to find what you’re looking for, please contact us at the office.

Consultation

The Association is obliged to ask tenants what they think before making any new housing management policies or making changes to existing policies that are likely to affect them. We will take account of what tenants think before making a final decision. We carry out consultation in a number of different ways, for example public meetings, surveys, letters etc. Our Tenant Participation Strategy describes how we will consult with tenants and how tenants’ views will be taken into account.
